Learning Objectives

After completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Assess and manage chronic noncancer pain with opioid analgesic therapy effectively and safely.
  2. Perform an appropriate new patient assessment tailored to the immediate and long-term needs of an individual dealing with chronic noncancer pain.

  4. Detect and manage aberrant drug-taking behavior and addiction in chronic noncancer pain patients.
